About Me
Back in 2020, Microsoft had released their first addition to the flight simulator series in roughly 15 years. I'd always been interested in the idea of playing flight sims, but never had the money or know-how to get into it. That was until 2020 when I suddenly had a lot of freetime on my hands... I bought the game, and was even given an old Saitek X52 Pro from a family friend - instantly I was hooked. I logged hundreds of hours on MSFS, and my passion continued to grow over the years as I got into even more simulators like DCS, IL-2, and X-Plane.
Around this time I had also gotten more serious about photography, challenging myself to take a photo every day for the year of 2020. Within a short amount of time these two passions collided and lead me to where I am today; phone in hand, camera slung over my shoulder, and speeding down the highway trying to nab a photo of a C-17 that I've been tracking through four different apps. It can be one of the most disappointing hobbies, but it's simultaneously one of the most rewarding. Taking that photo, then checking it to see that you perfectly framed it, and that the settings you had were just right, is such an unmatched feeling. Suddenly the hours you sat in the heat or rain were all worth it, and the previous five times you tried and failed to capture this aircraft are entirely forgotten about.
I hope that this passion comes through with my work, and I hope that just maybe it can be the spark to ignite someone's new found love for flight, and the world of aviation.
